I've been conducting this experiment since the iPhone came out. Not deliberately, I've just never put it in a case or used screen protectors of any sort. Hasn't had any negative repercussions for me. I don't keep it in the pocket I keep my keys in though. It's like anti-virus on the computer. Common sense is a key ingredient.

I didn't know that Adobe will no longer be creating updated versions of mobile Flash though I am definitely glad to hear that more videos will eventually be available for viewing without Flash. Thanks for the info.

There is a version of Flash that runs on the Nexus, although it wasn't there at launch. It's important to remember that Adobe have said it will be the last version of mobile Flash, so before long app developers are going to have to deal with video differently anyway.

I fell in love with this phone when I read about the high-resolution screen but fell out of love just as quickly when I found out it doesn’t come with Flash. I was looking forward to using the Remote Access app from my employer, DISH, on it. The app lets me watch TV on my phone and I couldn’t wait to watch some real HD on the Galaxy Nexus like I do at home on my HDTV. Will they include Flash on a software update? If so, I can wait it out.
