From My Doctor

I am writing to confirm that this gentleman has suffered from depression for most of his adult life. He is currently under our care and receiving antidepressant treatment. His symptoms have at various times been severe and on one occasion resulted in a suicide attempt. When he is depressed he finds it difficult to perform daily tasks or face any issues or problems that develop. As part of this he does not deal with any of his mail and unfortunately this often means he does not keep his financial affairs in order. I have made a referral to the primary care mental health team to access some support to try and work on this specific issue but in the meantime I would be grateful if you could consider this background information when addressing his appeal against his recent fine as I do feel his mental health issues are of relevance.
