Then there’s Ice Cream Sandwich. It deserves an article on its own to tell you about how disappointing it is, but I can tell you that the whole experience smells of “in some ways better than what we had, but overall not good enough”.

One of the items that have come out of MWC is all this hoohar about the new range of HTC phones. I have to admit that they actually look pretty good, and I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for HTC. It was barely a year ago that they were the top of the Android heap, and it wasn’t until they took on Samsung’s Galaxy S 2, with the HTC Sensation and lost considerably, that we saw them as anything less. Can these new phones help to put them back on top again?

The title of this post says it all really. Expect to see a new iPad on March the 7th. I just want to get this one in incase nobody else does. Expect a buttonless iPad. No home button, just a multi-touch gesture. Plus a retina display, faster processor but not an A6 chip, probably still dual-core. [...]

I’ve been having some computer problems and decided the best way to deal with them would be to install my operating system from scratch. I just wanted to remind you to back up your computer. Not meaning to sound smug here, but my main drive is backed up using Time Machine and Carbonite. At any [...]

I remember seeing early attempts at video on the web back in the day. We all had our little modems hooked up to the phone lines getting data at a rate that children today probably don’t believe we ever lived with. There used to be this thing called Real Player and you’d use it for [...]

Apple announced the next version of OS X and it’s called Mountain Lion. It isn’t really long since we got Lion, but now Apple say they are moving to a yearly update schedule. Fair enough, it’s what we’ve come to expect from our phones, so why not go that way with desktop operating systems too. Since [...]

This isn’t an everyday kind of thing, but when there is something, it’s important to bring out the Awesome Thing Of The Day award. Today that award goes to Dropbox, who have gone and done something awesome. You know Dropbox right? It’s internet based storage and sync service is absolutely fantastic and something I just can’t [...]
